opposable thumbs played a show on wed night after me and chuck shared a verti mart cheese burger poboy.. im still feeling the effects of the food poisoning 2 days latter... chuck however just puked it up once and was done with it some how... that half of poboy squeezed every bit of fluid out of me like the juicer at satsuma.. i was so sick i thought i would die.. I SWEAR I WOULD DIE!... (Barr) so havent left the bed much.. hazlet has been right by my side on the road to recovery as well.. he had an abcest burst on his chest and had to stay at the vet for a few days for a sergery .. oh.. christmas.... how merry it is.

so a very very sad thing happend this month. major video #2 on Lapalco Blvd. has called it quits after 25 years of serving Gretna Louisiana with thousands of thousands of veiwing pleasure. the venue that provided me with my movie learning, knoledge and obsesion .. whatever.. it was really fucking importiant to me.. and now after a long surviving battle with the corrprate giants and local assholes.. mr binkys, netflicks, blockbutster shitdeio... Mr Mike has surrendered to their never ending and unheartfull abuse. i took two trips back to my hometown to collect some of the memories i have made thanks to this wonderful store. so here's the booty...

Last Saturday

i went into the gulf of mexico on a charter boat. this was amazing.. ive done this twice before.. in the 5th and 6th grade.. holy crap this was amazing. we caught 30 fish wieghing in around 300 lbs total. we threw back a god bit of stuff... one baracouda that i reeled in . a 10 ft shark that took this dude greg over a half an hour to bring up.. we threw back 3 HUGE red snappers... the season is aprently very short. in july. we had some sort of serenge on board that we stuck the snappers with to try and keep them alive.. but they were pretty dead by the time we got them back in the sea. any way.. I WANA DO THIS AGAIN!
j wests birthday party was last niht. he convinced me to start running. so this morning i did.. i coulndnt even run half way around my block.. im such a lazy fat cow slop

labor day weekend is over as is my month long self finding tour. after long drives through out the usa, many cuts of smoked meats, a huricane in new jersey, and earth quake in a record store, a shooting, a drought, a thousand hours of right wing talk radio, lots of craft beer, a few pools and natral water holes, .. i just wound up missing home
